3 Mince pies
Fruit, meat and spices were the traditional ingredients for making mince pies years ago. This tradition was followed by the crusaders who learnt it from the countries in the Middle East. They then brought this tradition back to their own country. Thirteen ingredients are required to make mince pies which is actually a representation of Jesus and his 12 apostles. Ever since the Victorian era, meat was replaced by many acceptable ingredients such as dried fruits.
